Pokemon Go Book Tag (GOTTA READ EM ALL!)

Pokemon-Go-Book-Tag

Hello everyone! I know it’s been quite a while for a good post besides the weekly recent releases… I’m so sorry for this! I’ll make it up to you with many many maaanyyyy posts ๐Ÿ˜€

So I thought why not start with something fun! I’ve seen this tag around and I loved it immediately because OH MY GOD I AM OBSESSED. Pokemon Go has taken over all my reading time on my way to work/home. This tag is basically to make up my lack of reading haha ๐Ÿ˜€ I hope you enjoy it!

The only rule for this tag is to link back to the creator of the tag: the awesome Aentee @Read At Midnight. Tagging friends is not mandatory but it’s definitely fun to share!

Pokemon-Tag-01Starters

I’m always tempted to automatically say ‘Harry Potter’ but that’s not true. I believe the books by Roald Dahl, Rick Riordan and Darren Shan got me hooked.

A few of my favorites are: Before I Die by Jenny Downham, Dancing on My Grave by Aidan Chambers.

Pokemon-Tag02Pikachu

FYI: I WANT HIM SO BADLY IN THE GAME!!! Why doesn’t he show up? *cries*

Obviously, I’m going with Harry Potter for this. It will always be one of those books I could reread a million times and never get bored.

I even try to do annual rereads of the series and every single time I’m surprised by something I missed or forgot and then ‘rediscover’. It’s amazing!

Pokemon-Tag-03-Zubat

Oh man, I have a few examples…. Divergent, The Hunger Games, The Mortal Instruments…

I hate that I lost interest in the Mortal Instrument series, because I haven’t finished it completely! But with the TV show, the spin off, that OTHER spin-off… Just nope. Enough is enough!

Pokemon-Tag-04-Ditto

Hmm, this is actually a hard one? To be honest, these days all books have similar things. I don’t really have an answer for this category.

Pokemon-Tag06-Gengar

QUEEN OF SHADOWS BY SARAH J. MAAS.

Did I already mention that this is my favorite book??? Oh wait, I think I already did in 80% of my blog posts!

I just reread the status updates on Goodreads and I found one at 4AM haha ๐Ÿ˜€ It kept me awake for SURE! ๐Ÿ˜€

Some other would be Making Faces by Amy Harmon & Maybe Someday by Colleen HooverPokemon-Tag07-NidokingQueen

I’m going to let you guess… It’s from Queen of Shadows ๐Ÿ˜‚

But I’m also obsessed with Feyre and Rhysand from A Court of Mist and Fury (also by my Queen Sarah J. Maas) โค๏ธ

Oh, I have multiples for this one:

Any book by SJM, The Maze Runner by James Dashner, The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings, Demon Road by Derek Landy, Saga series (graphic novels), …

Pokemon-Tag09-Eevee

Well. All the series that I like, don’t have spin-offs… I did loved the Vampire Academy spin off “Bloodlines” by Richelle Mead! I love it even more than Vampire Academy itself โ™ฅ

Pokemon-Tag14-Magikarp

I’m sure that if you could, you would slap me right now, because I’m going to talk about Sarah J. Maas again … ๐Ÿ˜‚

The Throne of Glass series was one of those hyped books I was terrified for! I wasn’t sure if I would like the genre, if I would want to commit myself to such a huge series….

Let just say, I NEVER expected it to be so good!

Pokemon-Tag12-Legendary

The Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan! Rick is amazing author and I loved the PJ series, but never read his spin-off series. People won’t shut up about it, so I decided to start it! I’ve already read the first book and I looooooved it! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Others would be: Raven Boys, Doon & Daughter of Smoke and Bone!

From the books that I love or already read, not many of them have special editions.

However there’s an ARC of Caraval that has been going around in all black and red that I DESPERATELY want! You can check it here.

Pokemon-Tag11-Lure-Module

FOR SURE: Sarah J. Maas ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

Others would be: Colleen Hoover, Marie Lu, Jennifer L. Armentrout/J. Lynn, Richelle Mead, JK Rowling, Tahereh Mafi.

EMPIRE OF STORMS by SJM, A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir & It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover!!!!

Obviously I’ve already pre-ordered all three of them and I just got an email that It Ends With Us has already been shipped *SQUEEEEAL*

Okay that’s enough haha ๐Ÿ˜€ I hope I didn’t bore you with this super long post!ย  I enjoyed answering these categories so much ๐Ÿ˜€

I will be tagging: Yvonne, Maaike, Ana, Inge,ย  Bea, Sammie, Donna, Lily & YOU!! (obviously no obligations if you don’t like/know the game! ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

Have fuuuuuun! xo

The Book Sacrifice Tag

4

Thanks a lot to Nick @The Paper Dragon & Amy @Curiouser and Curiouser! So excited to do this tag… and I’m sorry if I offend you and/or your favorite book… Let’s do this!

1. An Over-Hyped book: Youโ€™re in a store when the zombie apocalypse hits. The military informs everyone that over-hyped books are the zombies only weakness. What book that everyone else says is amazing but you disliked do you start chucking at the zombies?

> We Were Liars by E. Lockhart! I’m sorry but that book was a big NO.

2. A Sequel: Torrential downpour. What sequel are you willing to use as an umbrella to protect yourself?

> Fractured by Teri Terry. I wasn’t able to finish this book… It was basically the same as book one, but in some way even more messed up../

3. A Classic: Youโ€™re in English class and your professor raves about a Classic that โ€œtranscends timeโ€. If given the opportunity to travel back in time, which Classic would you try to stop from ever publishing?

> The Reader by Bernard Schlink! This book and the book was a huge success, but I hated it. I was forced to read AND watch it in high school and just no no no. Never again!

4. Least Favourite Book: Apparently global warming = suddenly frozen wasteland. Your only hope of survival for warmth is to burn a book. Which book will you not regret lighting?

> The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins, buuuuuurrrnnnn!! It was such a boring book and I don’t get all the hype about it! It even gets movie? Like seriously? Ugh.

I hope you enjoyed this book and that you aren’t too mad ๐Ÿ˜€ I’m tagging the following lovely people: Yvonne, Maaike, Inge, Stephanie & YOU!

The Readers Confession Tag

PicMonkey Collage

Yup, another tag! I have about 10ish tags to catch up, so I hope you guys enjoying them ๐Ÿ˜€ Yvonne tagged me for this one, thank you sweetie! Now let’s get started!

1. Have you ever damaged your own book?

Multiple even! Okay, here’s the story. I participated in a flea market kind of thing. And so I wanted to sell books that I was never going to read anymore or didn’t really enjoyed. But I hadn’t planned that it would be POURING! Like, it just kept raining and raining. I covered my books with like a plastic thingy, but of course, SOMEWHERE in that plastic was a hole and so it drenched most of those books… I was on the verge of tears when I saw it. Even if it weren’t books I specifically enjoyed. It were still books… I will always have that image in my head of me, on the ground, a bunch of books around me and blow-drying them…

2. Have you ever damaged a borrowed book?

Oh yes…. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ (man, this tag is making me so sad) it was yeeeaaars ago though. I borrowed The Host by Stephanie Meyer from a friend. And because of taking it everywhere with me, for some reason some red marks ended up on the sides of the pages. I have no idea where that came from but I felt so guilty! I offered buying her another copy, but she didn’t mind at all. Pfieuw!

Now I’ll never damage any books, because my friends can’t keep up with me and my book shaha ๐Ÿ˜€

3. How long does it take you to read a book?

Depends actually. But averagely, I’d say a week. If it takes longer it can be for two reasons. Or I don’t like it, or its more than 600 pages.

4. Books that you havenโ€™t finished?

The Queen of Bright and Shiny Things (review),ย  Breathe (review), Thirteen Days of Midnight (review).

5. Hyped/popular books that you donโ€™t like?

We Were Liars… That was so disappointed and I had to really force myself to finish it. I hated this book… Read my review here.

6. Is there a book that you wouldnโ€™t tell anyone you were reading?

Hmmm, no? I share everything I read on Instagram already so I don’t mind ๐Ÿ˜‰

12424416_482468141950269_48187773_n

My latest shelfie!

7. How many books do you own?

Not enough ๐Ÿ˜€ If I trust my good reads “Books-I-Own” shelf, I own 244 books. But I have a bunch of other (Dutch) books that are in boxes and ready to donate/to sell.

8. Are you a fast reader or a slow reader?

A fast one! And I’m so glad about this ๐Ÿ˜€ It makes up for all the time I’m not able to read.

9. Do you like to buddy read?

I rarely do them, but I certainly enjoy it! I did one a while ago with my best friend Yvonne and it was a lot of fun. Right now, I’m doing one with Inge and Regina for the Forbidden Wish!

10. Do you read better in your head or out loud?

In my head. It feels weird to read out loud!

11. If you were only allowed to own one book, what would it be and why?

Can I pick 3 in different genres? ๐Ÿ˜€ Do I hear a ‘yes’? Okay!

  • ROMANCE: Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover
  • SUPERNATURAL: Demon Road by Derek Landy
  • FANTASY: Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas

As always, thanks for reading! I’m not going to tag anyone specifically, but consider yourself tagged if you want to do this! Bye! โค

Burn, Rewrite, Reread Tag

DSCN1444

I am back with another tag!! This times it’s the “Burn, rewrite, reread” tag, for which I’ve been tagged by Nick from The Paper Dragon! I’ve been tagged a looooong ago, but I’m finally doing this! I hope you enjoy it ๐Ÿ˜€

Side note: all the books have been picked by Yvonne! And she didn’t make it easy AT ALL.

The rules:

  1. Randomly choose 3 books.
  2. For each group, decide which book to burn, which one to rewrite, and which to reread. (A lot like Kiss, Marry, Kill.)
  3. Repeat until you completed three rounds (or more if you want)

Round 1!

BURN: The Heir by Kiera Cass

I’ve never read a book with such a bitchy main character. BURN EADLYN, BURRNNNNN (review)

REREAD: Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover

Ugly Love is a gorgeous NA novel! I loved it so much and it made me cry like a freaking baby in the end. A must read if you ask me! (review)

REWRITE: Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I wouldn’t know what I would rewrite in Opal because I rated this one 5/5 stars… but as it’s the only book left for this round, I guess I’d just make it less cheesy ๐Ÿ˜€

Round 2!

BURN: The Murder Complex by Lindsday Cummings

This choice kills me because it is one of my favorites ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

REREAD: Demon Road by Derek Landy

One of my top fav book of 2015. Enough said. (review)

REWRITE: A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

At first I wanted to burn this book, because I didn’t enjoy this book that much. But the ending of this book was really good, so I’d rewrite it and change the guy Feyre ends up with… and maybe also tweak a bit at Feyre herself haha ๐Ÿ˜€ (review)

Round 3!

BURN: Divergent by Veronica Roth

I’m so sick of the Divergent world. Ugh. Can we please move on??? To be honest, it’s the movies that ruined this book series for me.

REREAD: Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi

WARNER โค The Shatter Me series is one of the only trilogy where I loved all three books equally. SO MANY FEELS FOR THIS SERIES! โค

REWRITE: When it Rains by Lisa De Jong

When it Rains is also without doubt one of my favorite reads. I wouldn’t even change a letter of this beautiful and heartbreaking story. The only thing I regret is that there was only one point of view. So I would add a point of view of Asher to this book. (review)

Round 4!

BURN: Legend by Marie Lu

It kills me to burn this one because I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! *cries* (thank god this is a game haha :D)

REREAD: Easy by Tammara Webber

This AMAZING book is what got me into the ‘New Adult’ genre. SO. FREAKING. GOOD. I’m thinking about rereading this soon. I need some feels โค

REWRITE: Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas

The one thing that I didn’t enjoy about this book are the chapters in the point of view of Manon. It seems so weird to have these in the middle of the other perfect chapters. So if I’d have to change something about HoF then it would be rewrite those chapters OR just leave them out!

Round 5!

(YVONNE, YOU’RE AN EVIL PERSON FOR PICKING THOSE THREE!!)

BURN: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by JK Rowling

Now, before you kill me for picking this book to burn, I HAD TO. The two other are SO high on my fav list! Maybe Someday is my TOP NUMBER ONE. I HAD TO OKAY?

REREAD: Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover

This is my favorite book of ALL TIMES. If for some reason I strand on a deserted island, that’s the book I want with me. This book means so much to me! โค (review)

REWRITE: A Walk To Remember by Nicholas Sparks

I wouldn’t change a thing about the story itself. Because it’s a perfect story. I would only change the ‘voice’ of Landon when he tells the story (hope you know what I mean?), ’cause sometimes it felt very clichรฉ.

I hope you enjoyed this tag! Yvonne made it very hard for me in some rounds (I’m definitely taking my revenge later *evil laugh*).

I am tagging: Yvonne (obviously), Aldii, Emma, Anna, Carrianne, CW, Jorene, Saar and YOU!!

Leave your comments below! I’d love to see if you’ll kill me for burning HP or if you agree on rewriting ACOTAR!
