October Wrap up

First of all, I apologize for the lack of posting! Lately I have been extremely tired and didn’t have much energy to start working on my blog during my very few free hours.

But, I’m going to try to make it better this month! Starting with a (late *smiles shyly*) wrap up! October was the month of pumpkins and ghost and candy… and I loved it. For the first time in years I’ve read multiple YA horrors, which was so much fun! I’ve also realized that Halloween is one of my favorite days of the year ๐Ÿ˜€

What I’ve read

  1. Famous Last Words by Katie Alender (audiobook): โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…
  2. The House by Christina Lauren: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…
  3. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs: โ˜…โ˜…
  4. Say Her Name by James Dawson: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…
  5. Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…
  6. Defiance by CJ Redwine: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…

Anna Dressed in Blood was – despite its flaws – my favorite read of the month! I actually love ghost stories and this one had the perfect creepy/swoon ratio. I had bought the sequel but didn’t have the time to read it, so I definitely will in November.

A Drop of Night was also one I was dying to read but didn’t found the time to.

What I’ve bought

  1. The House by Christina Lauren
  2. Say Her Name by James Dawson
  3. Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake
  4. A Drop of Night by Stefan Bachmann
  5. Resurrection Engines by Scott Harrison
  6. The Promise by Melody Grace
  7. Girl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake
  8. Forget Tomorrow by Pintip Dunn
  9. HP and the Chamber of Secrets, illustrated edition
  10. Metaltown by Kristen Simmons (Fairyloot October)

That’s way more books that I intended to buy, but I’m happy with each of them. The Promise was a very impulsive buy: I saw the cover and immediately ordered it. No regrets so far! ๐Ÿ˜€

Also the HP illustrated edition is just gorgeousssssssย  ๐Ÿ˜

September Wrap up

Oh dear, I completely forgot to publish my wrap up! And I was even so happy about it because I took pretty pictures! ๐Ÿ˜€ Well, better late than never! Here we go:

What I’ve read

  1. The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…
  2. Morrighan by Mary E. Pearson: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…
  3. The Heart of Betrayal by Mary E. Pearson: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…
  4. A Torch Against The Night by Sabaa Tahir: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…

Okay, I haven’t read THAT much, but I’m still happy! I’ve wanted to read the Kiss of Deception series for such a long time and I’m so glad I enjoyed it! I wanted to read the third book too, but the paperback is coming out next year… ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I don’t know yet, if I’m going to buy the ebook in the meantime…

Also, ATATN was amazing! But the ending was a big shock. I didn’t expected it and that’s why it’s only 4 stars and not 5… I cannot believe that the author dared to write that ending to be honest haha ๐Ÿ˜€ Have you read it? What did you think of it? Let me know in the comments!!

What I’ve bought/received

  1. Nevernight by Jay Kristoff (Fairyloot August)
  2. The Lost Hero, the graphic novel (gift)
  3. The Heart of Betrayal by Mary E. Pearson
  4. A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir
  5. Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas

  7. Vassa in the Night by Sarah Porter (Fairyloot September)

Only one comment: EMPIRE OF STORMS IS FINALLY ON MY SHELVESSSSSSSSS!!!!!! *happy dance* โ™ฅ

July Wrap up

July has been a pretty good month for me! I have done quite some fun things with friends and I also went to the Harry Potter Expo in Brussels! Although it’s not very comparable with the actual studio tour in London (which is AMAZING), I still enjoyed seeing some of the props again!

And as it was also my birthday on the 31st, I got quite some books gifted! (Yes, I’m sharing a birthday with Harry Potter ๐Ÿ˜€ )

Anyways, I’m very happy with this wrap up. Although I would have enjoyed reading a bit more, most of them were 4/5 star reads! My favorite is definitely A Monster Calls โ™ฅ

June Wrap up

I thought this month I’d rock my monthly tbr for once…ย  The weather here in Belgium SUCKS so the long and rainy days are perfect for reading in bed. Unfortunately the month went by quicker than I thought (again). I didn’t get to read a ton of books, but those I read I really liked!

What I’ve read

  1. The Crown by Kiera Cass: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…
  2. The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…
  3. Ruined by Amy Tintera: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…
  4. Saga, Volume 6 by Brian K. Vaughan: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…

Although I’ve read only 3 books and a graphic novel, I’m still glad with what I’ve read. I enjoyed Ruined the most though! Such a fun read!! Go check my review here ๐Ÿ˜‰

What I’ve bought/received

  1. ย Ruined by Amy Tintera (Fairyloot – May)
  2. The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan
  3. The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan
  4. The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan
  5. Ivory and Bone by Julie Eshbaugh (Fairyloot – June)
  6. The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson
  7. A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
  8. A Thousand Nights by EK Johnston

And saying that I have a 5-books-per-month-only rule…. HA. Well, anyway, I’m super happy with all of them! Both books of Fairyloot have a signed bookplate in it, the copy of A Monster Calls is beautifully illustrated and the covers of the three HoS series are just dead gorgeous ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ ME HAPPY.
