Inside Out Book Tag

Thanks a lot to Deanna from A Novel Glimpse for tagging me (it’s been a while though, sorry)!

This book tag is based on the movie Inside Out. I’ve seen the movie and loved it a lot! It’s a short tag, but fun to do! For every emotion you need to pick a book. Let’s start, shall we?

1. A book that brings you joy = Isla and the Happily After by Stephanie Perkins

I don’t know any other book where I felt so happy. I remember the moment I finished the book and just clutched it tight to my chest and just… smiled. My heart was full of joy and I never experienced that with another book ♥

2. A book that brings you sadness = A Walk to Remember by Nicolas Sparks

I cry with the movie, I cry with the book, I cry even while listening to the soundtrack. I’m a wreck when I think of Landon and Jamie. Just UGHHHH such a gorgeous book! A must read, if you ask me!

3. A book that brings you fear = The Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas

For this one, I’m actually selecting a whole series. The fear that I feel is actually not because the plot is dark, creepy or scary, I’m scared of SJM herself! I’m always afraid she will kill (another) of my favorite characters! IT’S TORTURE IN THE BEST WAY.

4. A book that brings you anger = Kingdom of Ashes by Rhiannon Thomas

I’ve recently finished this one and I felt so irritated and angry when I finished it. It was one of my most anticipated releases and I was just so angry at the MC (or author?). I couldn’t stand the MC and ugh… It just didn’t reach the slightest of my expectations… Oh well.

5. A book that brings you disgust = The Jewel by Amy Ewing

To be clear, I do not hate this book. I think it’s amazing. It’s just so dark and some characters were really twisted. I never felt so disgusted about something a character did. It was so disturbing! Lots of people compare it to the Selection series, but it’s soooooo much different (and better!!).
