In crisp black and white manga pictures, Ethan Wate narrates his dreams, haunted an unreachable raven-haired beauty. When she moves into the small Southern town Blackwood mansion of her protective Uncle Macon, Ethan is inexplicably drawn to her. As her 16th birthday nears, Lena must choose – or will the family curse choose for her?
There were no surprises in Gatlin County .. the middle of nowhere.
I couldn’t have been more wrong.
There was a curse.
There was a girl.
And in the end, there was a grave.
After reading (and re-reading) the preview, I just couldn’t resist this book anymore. I’ve never read a manga before and my curiousness was growing with each day. In no way I regret reading this beautiful story. I devoured this book in one sitting and I loved every single thing about it! The drawings are beautiful and I wish there was more! 😦
I almost forgot how much I loved the actual book and it makes me want to continue with the series. I’ve only read the first novel and now I’m dying to read the rest of the series.
I would definitely recommend this to the people who enjoyed the series! (I wouldn’t recommend reading this if you haven’t read the actual novel first!)
